The Science of Life
Discover the dedication behind our professional hatching process. We maintain strict environmental controls and high purebred standards to ensure every chick begins life strong and healthy.
Our Hatchery Facility
Our incubation rooms are designed to mimic the natural warmth and humidity of a mother hen perfectly. By utilizing state-of-the-art climate control systems, we eliminate environmental stress during the most critical stages of embryonic development.
Cleanliness is paramount. The entire facility undergoes rigorous daily sanitation protocols to prevent the introduction of pathogens, ensuring our purebred flocks remain isolated, safe, and robust from day one.
The Hatching Process
1. Egg Selection & Inspection
Every egg is carefully candled and inspected for shell integrity and proper yolk suspension. Only the most viable, perfectly formed eggs from our purebred lines are selected for the incubation chambers.
2. Precision Incubation
Eggs spend exactly 21 days in our main incubators, which automatically rotate them at precise intervals. Temperature is locked to optimal degrees, and humidity is adjusted dynamically to support healthy membrane development.
3. Hatching & Transfer
Days before hatching, eggs are moved to designated hatcher baskets. This environment provides higher humidity, making it easier for the chicks to pip through the shell safely without specialized intervention.
4. Health Screening
Once dry and active, each chick undergoes a gentle but thorough health screening. We verify mobility, alertness, and overall vitality before they are cleared for cataloging or customer transition.
Strict Chick Care Routines
Our responsibility extends beyond the hatch. The first few days of life dictate the long-term health of the poultry.
Optimal Nutrition
From the moment they begin eating, our flocks receive high-protein, specialized starter crumbles designed to support rapid skeletal and feather growth.
Consistent Warmth
Brooder spaces are draft-free and gradient-heated. We provide clear warm zones and cool zones, allowing the young birds to regulate their body temperature naturally.
Preventative Health
We maintain strict biosecurity. All bedding is changed regularly, and fresh, clean water is provided multiple times daily to prevent any early illnesses.
Practical Notes for Raising Healthy Poultry
Taking your new purebred chicks home is just the beginning. A smooth transition requires planning. We have compiled the essential guidelines you will need to prepare your own brooder setup.
Space Requirements
Provide at least half a square foot of brooder space per chick for the first two weeks, expanding the area as they grow to prevent overcrowding and stress.
Draft Management
Ensure your enclosure has solid walls at the bottom to block ground-level drafts. Cold air flows can rapidly chill young birds, even with a heat lamp active.
Bedding Choices
Use large pine shavings rather than cedar or fine sawdust. Pine is absorbent and safe, whereas fine dust can cause respiratory or digestive issues if ingested.
Hydration First
Upon arrival, gently dip the beak of each chick into their water source. This teaches them immediately where the water is located, preventing dehydration.
